Challenges

As a services firm in hyper-growth mode that is working profitably, Cloud Sherpas needed a recruiting software platform that would enable a connection between revenue, revenue pipeline and staff resources. The system and processes were also needed to support the volumes of attention and opportunities the firm provides for its staff as they hire the right resources. The staff works in a culture that demands much self-direction and autonomy. Cloud Sherpas also wanted to bring an equivalent level of energy and commitment to hiring staff within new countries and industries.

Prior to using Jobscience, and as a result of various company acquisitions, Cloud Sherpas had been using a host of standalone ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) from different vendors. But the cost of integrating those systems was very high, and the team was not able to leverage the additional process management features that Jobscience offers: referral management, vendor management, calendaring (through Google integration), and more.

Solution

Cloud Sherpas built a unified and flexible system by committing to Force.com and salesforce.com as their core systems of operation, using Jobscience as the recruiting software platform. With the goal of aligning revenue and resources, Cloud Sherpas started with posting jobs, managing candidate flow and moving people through the hiring process. Then they built a number of integrations and advanced workflow to enable the beginning of a back-end, straight-through process, from recruiting through onboarding (IT, HR, Finance/Payroll etc). This has enabled Cloud Sherpas to automate the laborious tasks embedded in onboarding, allowing a few clicks to trigger key alters and provisioning to support IT, finance, HR, demand planning, etc.

Cloud Sherpas has also launched referrals within Jobscience and started collecting interview feedback. The company is working on additional front office components that allow integration between project and resource planning devices and Jobscience. The ultimate goal is to enable revenue and budget to drive demand and to streamline all the associated recruiting through Jobscience.

The company now relies on its core systems, programs and processes to support hiring all throughout the world. Jobscience has empowered Cloud Sherpas to:
